The Saints

Here’s a few favorite tracks from Australian punk legends The Saints, most of these come from their late 70’s output, though their career ran hot through the 80’s as well. I feel like I can always trust the Aussies (and Kiwis) to put a weird twist on music, Australians with something a little grittier and New Zealanders with something a little weirder. Probably has something to do with the ozone hole or maybe the direction water spins when it drains, but whatever it is there are a bunch of bands from down under I’ll hopefully get to in the next few months.

the saints lp ‘eternally yours’ [yep the 2nd & best one] changed my life completely & forever in 1978 … the recent original band reunion was just plainly horrible . & i dunno if i’d say ed kuepper became australia’s neil young … although i do see stewart’s point … i’d say he went on to be australia’s ed kuepper , but either way i’d say it’s much better than chris bailey going on to become holland’s mick hucknall
