Guns N’ Roses
I don’t really like any of the songs on the new Guns N’ Roses album enough to want to post them, but for some reason I feel obligated. I read a lot about the album in the days leading up to the release and most of the reviews said that it was pretty good all things considered.. And they weren’t wrong. The album totally lives up my expectations and is almost exactly what I thought it would sound like. Which is why I’m so confused as to why I don’t like it. Hmm.. I may have to mull this one over for a bit. I can say one thing for sure though.. the guitar playing is terrible. Slash’s not being there leaves a huge hole in the band (or studio musicians) and what replaces his bluesy inventiveness, while technically great, is just boring. Sort of like Steve Vai vs. Frank Zappa.

Have faith, it’ll grow on you. I do agree that there is something missing with the guitars. Maybe they tried a little too much to push it over the top. Sometimes simpler is better.
P.S. There are much better songs on the album than the three you have here.

By the way, is the photo for real? Was Axl really arrested by the police? When was it? What happened at that time that he got arrested?
