Went to go see the free Girl Talk and Dean Deacon show in Berkeley. It started at 5pm which made it sort of wierd. Dan talked for a bit about pretending it was Friday night at 11:59pm, but he didn’t have to. He is so charismatic that he had the crowd eating from his hand and basically had people doing whatever he could think of. At one point he made the whole crowd expand to the perimeter so that he was alone in the center. The he had one person run around the inside and high-five everyone until they got tired and picked someone else. Then he had the crowd make a huge “people tunnel” that snaked about the quad. Anyway, it was really fun and it’s too bad that I had borrowed a roll of film from my roommate that turned out to be heat-damaged. The shots above were the only saved ones.
Girl Talk was sort of boring to be honest. It was awesome and a party, but it was still light out and it made it seem like a rave or something. Also, I feel like Girl Talk is something you go get drunk to, have a good time and then find someone to make out with.. you know.. like a party. It was hard to do that at 6pm. Fuck though, so many girls. I should have gone to college.
