Utah

Took a 20-hour train ride out to Utah in order to check out some earthworks style art. We visited the Sun Tunnels, Spiral Jetty, The Bonneville Salt Flats, an old un-authorized bomb site crater, an abandoned (sort of) air force base, some rockets, the Golden Spike, and most important, a bar which housed the mounted head of the worlds largest dog (300lbs of St. Bernard). I didn’t take a photo of the dog because I didn’t want to ruin the moment I was having. Cop out? Maybe.

Anyways, great trip. You should read more about Robert Smithson because his work is amazing and really puts ‘art’ in perspective. You can see a video I made here, and there should be some better 35mm shots when those get done..
