New York

Do you like looking at blurry night photos? Cool, here is a bunch that I just took. Okay.. I went out to New York for the Hamburger Eyes book release party at The Powerhouse Arena. San Francisco rolled pretty deep with like 20 people coming out to spend some time in the city. Actually it was sort of overwhelming. I get freaked out when there too many people I know in one room so I hid in a corner with Vanessa, who is always understanding in her dealing with my multiple anxieties. I realized about halfway through the trip that it would be useless to try and coordinate with everyone, everyday so I just kind of went with the flow and waited to see what would happen. Walking across the Brooklyn bridge at 3am was fun.. until we got to Brooklyn and realized that no car service would pick us up on a random corner near the bridge. Fortunately I was wrong and one did. Then I repeated the same scenario the next night with the Manhattan Bridge which is actually not all that pretty.
Later in the week I went to the New Museum (which is fucking horrible – seriously, don’t ever go), ate and drank at about a million amazing restaurants, stopped in at Kathy and Patrick’s studio for an upcoming Fecal Face feature, and met up with some people regarding stuff I’m working on in the general scheme of things. Of course, I only got like 5% of the stuff done that I wanted to do. If you’re in New York go check out the Whitney Biennale which is going on now and this guy, who is at the Guggenheim right now.

You’ve got surprisingly steady hands for a smoker with a featherlight camera. Good seeing you and the stairwell of my building.
