S.L.O.

There was some ballroom dancing, but you won’t be seeing any photos of that..

Bubble Gum Alley..

I think organized tours might be the worst idea ever..

Vraja’s vegan and vegetarian food was really good. She doesn’t have a place yet, but she has a phone number and I think she hosts dinners somewhere.

I think those are the only two photos I can show of the rock waterfall shower..

Ookay, so you order the bucket and pick what you want in it. Then they steam it up and dump it on your table after giving you all the tools you’ll need to crack, pound and open. I almost had a heart attack I was so excited. They also give you bibs which they put on for you. Best waitress ever and the owner was great too.. Cracked Crab.

All gone!

Whew! That was a lot of photos.. You may have gathered as much already, but I took a trip down the coast to San Luis Obispo. We had read about the Madonna Inn a while back and decided it was good a reason for a trip as anything else. The place was pretty incredible. 109 uniquely themed rooms, a hilltop pool with two hot tubs, the craziest steak house you’ve ever seen and much much more. I recommend that you read about it, pick your room and go check it out for yourself. We picked a room with a cave theme which came complete with a rock waterfall shower. When we first arrived we were pretty worried because the room looked so tacky and the shower didn’t really look like a waterfall. However after couple of hours and a bunch of drinks, we decided we never wanted to leave. Since San Luis Obispo is a college town, it’s a pretty fun place to hang out as well. It was the last weekend of school so a lot of students had already left, making it just that much better. We went to the drive-in to see Iron Man ($6 to get in!) and made out in the back seat. It sounds weird, but it felt really wholesome. We also did some less eventful stuff like check out Hearst Castle which I have to say is the lamest thing I have ever paid a bunch of money to see (the Madonna Inn had better taste than that rich fuck ever did). Overall though, it was pretty great. Shit, I think I even forgot to mention the Thursday night farmer’s market and the Crab place that dumps a bucket of crab on your table. Anyways, after we left the hotel I went record shopping and we jumped in the car to head towards Monterey. I’m sure you tired after looking at so many photos so I’ll put those up in a minute. If you still want more, you can check out Evelyn’s blog so you can see photos of me instead of her.

You can also check out a movie I quickly threw together by clicking here..
