Angels and Islands

I totally forgot about tent lighting.. always so good. Like an instant overcast day. I guess it makes sense when you think about what comes in a lighting kit, but these things seem to slip my mind. Next photo shoot I’m taking the person/band/thing into the biggest tent I can find.

Went out to Angel Island for Mariah’s never ending birthday celebrations (which I don’t mind a bit). Due to Gay Pride weekend, the bike ride from my house to the ferry took about an hour. It was basically like a big gay nightmare starting with car dodging and ending with Jeremy missing the ferry and having to catch one from Tiburon. Anyways, it’s really nice out there and sort of creepy. All those old abandoned buildings are cool to explore and stuff, as long as you don’t go off alone and have to walk past them in the dark. I swear I saw a witch. It was also much to our disappointment that we found the missile silos hatches armed with brand new padlocks. We thought of a new plan for getting in, but it will have to wait till next time so instead we just drank lots and sat in the sun. So much sun in fact that I look like a beet and it hurts to smile.

Where is the place with that great big wooden mill thing, please? I found your website doing a search for that song in the Diving Bell and the Butterfly on hypem.com, thought I would take a look at your photos, and recognized a place that I visited in my childhood. Thanks!

All the photos that are in this post are from Angel Island in San Francisco. Most of the structures are old military buildings and supply equipment..
